Following the Worldchampionship of backwards running in Rotkreuz / Switzerland (2006), Pietrasanta / Italy (2008), Kapfenberg / Austria (2010), Lleida / Spain (2012), Aosta / Italy (2014), this competition will take place in Germany for the first time. Venue of this event is the city of Essen in the heart of the Ruhr area.
